Life is a journey filled with challenges, growth, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on others. Many individuals, like me, find their purpose through experiences that shape their understanding of the world and their role within it. In my early twenties as a Youth Development Specialist and working with Native American communities, I had the privilege of guiding young Native Americans to provide support and mentorship; to build life skills for their everyday life. This experience opened up my love and care for others. Helping even just one individual is worth every effort. Through my love and caring I knew I was helping the lord, and it just felt right. 

Soon after, I moved up to Northern Idaho with the beautiful lakes and mountains and thought to myself; this is where I want to call home, start a family and that's when I become a family caregiver for my uncle in-law, who was a veteran. It was being a Caregiver that really tested my faith with humanity, learning about hospitals and nursing care facilities and their policies and procedures. Oh boy was I tested. The hardest weeks of my life. I was praying day and night, as many times as I could. The lord heard my prayer. The lord sent me an angel, an incredible friend who appeared when all hope was lost. My friend along with my mom helped me get through those hardest weeks of my life. Feeling Humanity was lost and learning the loss of compassion in the medical field and people in general; it took a toll on me.

It wasn't until I was blessed with the opportunity to care for a gentleman who was also a Veteran, and his family welcomed me into their home with open arms. Their love for the lord and love for their family just opened my heart back up to humanity. This experience not only strengthened my relationship with the Lord but also illuminated the true essence of love. Love is not merely an emotion; it is an action that manifests in our interactions with others. It is the willingness to support, nurture, and stand by those we hold dear, especially during challenging times. 

We all have our own paths and along that comes lessons we learn along the way and no paths are the same. We all have a purpose in life and me I'm also learning as well. I always knew I had a calling to be closer to the lord and help spread the word of the lord; to spread Love and Compassion and what better way than through my work. God Bless to all!
